Titanic has a special place in my heart. Not because of any story element in particular, but because I saw it in theater with my middle school girlfriend and we made out the whole time.
I think money is an okay motivation as long as it's for something emotional and you focus on the emotions. Getting money for a loved one's life saving operation (dog day afternoon). Getting rent money so you and all your stuff isn't left on the street (One of them days). Getting money to sensibly put in your IRA for retirement - not so great. That would be more an antagonist motivation.
Great post Scott. Even though it sounds like I need to watch Titanic again
It can’t hurt.

I guess I'll have to go on Amazon Prime Video and watch all those films, Titanic for the nth time!
