Sometimes these weeks fly by so fast I think they’re going at light speed. But if we’re going the speed of light, time is supposed to slow down, not speed up. I don’t understand it!
This is the time of the week when we stand up and announce what we got done in the last seven days. Let us know in the comments.
This simple act of showing up and announcing our progress inspires us to get stuff done. Me—and all the subscribers of No Dikkering Around—are your Accountability Buddy.
Also, our September Accountability Meeting is coming up! Join me for that Saturday, August 31 at 11AM CT. It should be an inspiring time, as always. Details below.
Below you’ll also see my receipts for the week. I mostly worked on my pet project, the comedy audio drama series, Action Cop. I present some rough draft pages and a rough outline here, with notes from both me and my writing partner.
I also posted on Substack every day (as per usual), tinkered with my Onion Book, and nearly finished by Creativity Machine book proposal.
One related activity I’m pleased to report is a trip to Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday to look at old copies of The Onion on microfiche and physical copies at the State Historical Society (to research the Onion book).
Sadly, I don’t own every back issue, so this research is necessary. It was also a lot of fun.
We had one meeting this week with a producer about the Onion movie project, and I figured out the model—the example movie that helps explain to people how I see the movie. Read on for details.
