How was your week? Did you get things done? Did you make progress on your goals?
This is the weekly column where we show up with our proceeds for the week to keep each other accountable. The pressure of having to show up with work keeps us productive!
As for my week, I finished my book proposal and sent it off to my agent. (I took some of your suggestions on the title. Thank you!) Had a lively Writers Room meeting Saturday. Lots and lots and jokes! I posted on social media every day, and I edited a couple of videos. The videos aren’t finished yet, but the finished book proposal is posted below. (It’s too long for Substack, so it will come in parts.)
I also took a rare two days off—in a row. Felt like I needed a break.
For next week, I’m still not where I want to be with the satirical novel and will try to get there. The business continues to intrude. I now have a couple of “reader magnet” books to write, and the redesign of my websites made quantum leaps this week, so I’ll need to do some work on those, like tweaking copy and figuring out matters of commerce.
Put your week’s work and next week's goals in the comments!
And don’t forget the once-in-a-blue-moon coaching giveaway that’s going on until March 1. Every third person who signs up for this newsletter on the annual plan wins a coaching session, and everyone who signs up as a founding member wins a coaching session!
Sign up now! When we talk, I’ll help your writing / performing career get unstuck and spare you from months of frustration—it’s worth it!
See you in the funny papers.
