Comedy Writing is like a Roller Coaster

One of my better analogies

A roller coaster goes fast, it goes slow, it goes high, it goes low, it goes up, it goes down. Sometimes it even goes upside down.

But it always stays on track. And the passengers always stay in the car.

How much fun would a roller coaster be if it flew off the tracks, or if the people flew out of the cars?

It would not be fun at all.
